Toddler Hit and Killed by Pickup Truck in Lake Worth Beach
A tragic accident in Lake Worth Beach has claimed the life of 2-year-old Cristian Felipe Andres, who was struck by a pickup truck in front of his home on Tuesday, November 18, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Cristian had been standing on the sidewalk with his mother just before 7:30 p.m. when a 2001 Dodge Ram turned from South A Street onto 10th Avenue South. Investigators say the toddler stepped into the road from behind a parked vehicle, unaware of the approaching truck. He was struck moments later.
Cristian, who would have celebrated his third birthday on December 12, was rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he later passed away despite medical efforts to save him.
PBSO’s Traffic Division reported that the driver was traveling southbound and had just begun a left turn when the collision occurred. Officials emphasized that the investigation remains active and ongoing.
